Notable charm:  Gingham simplicity in fresh green and peach.  The tiniest of stitches seen in the hand piecing and hand quilting.  As noted in the photos,  there is a 4” cotton hanging sleeve attached to the back of three sides of this quilt….obviously a show quilt!  She is in excellent condition with very minimal wear!!!

Circa:  Late 1800’s

Proportion:  70”X74”

Notable Charm:  Classic block meets  primitive fabrics in perfect balance. 

This sweet quilt is about as good as it gets aside from a couple of areas of fabric distress.  These areas could be professionally repaired or reinforced with a simple zigzag stitch. I will leave that decision to the new owner, as this is collectors worthy!

Notable Charm:  Classic and sweet, this girl has all the right stuff.  From charming prints to delicate quilting, this lightweight lovely is everything an old quilt should be.

Notable charm:    This charming top from the 1930’s was given another chance at life with new batting, backing & beautiful machine quilting by Kelly at Kelly’s Quilting Corner.  Old never looked so new!

Notable charm:   There’s an old saying in the quilt world, “finished is better than perfect.”  It took many decades for this stellar beauty to be finished, But we’re thinking she’s better than perfect!    Thanks to the capable hands of Kelly at Kelly’s Quilting corner common. This vibrant Texas star quilt top was finally finished with new cotton, batting and backing.  Machine quilted, and finished with the most perfect floral binding.

Notable charm:   God bless the gal who took the risk with this candy pink background.   What a perfect backdrop for the vibrant star hand pieced and hand quilted in the iconic colors of the early 1900’s.

Notable Charm:  The visual interest this quilt delivers is a work of creative genius in and of itself.  Obviously, crafted by an expert quilter with no boundaries, the showgirl is ready to be center stage.  

I did my best to photograph a couple of the small spots still remaining.  They are a testament to the fine line between pristine clean enough and ruined from over cleaning.
