Notable Charm:  Classic block meets  primitive fabrics in perfect balance. 

This sweet quilt is about as good as it gets aside from a couple of areas of fabric distress.  These areas could be professionally repaired or reinforced with a simple zigzag stitch. I will leave that decision to the new owner, as this is collectors worthy!

Notable charm:   God bless the gal who took the risk with this candy pink background.   What a perfect backdrop for the vibrant star hand pieced and hand quilted in the iconic colors of the early 1900’s.  

This quilt took the Cozy Clean treatment like a champ and is cuddle ready. with proper care, will bring many more years of enjoyment!  Spot clean, when possible, and wash on delicate or by hand in cold water when necessary.  Gently wring excess water and lay flat to dry.  Toss in the dryer for the remaining 15 minutes to soften.

Notable charm:  Not only beautiful, this polyester parade of funky prints is tough enough for your wildest picnic adventures!

Notable Charm:  The visual interest this quilt delivers is a work of creative genius in and of itself.  Obviously, crafted by an expert quilter with no boundaries, the showgirl is ready to be center stage.  

I did my best to photograph a couple of the small spots still remaining.  They are a testament to the fine line between pristine clean enough and ruined from over cleaning.

Pattern:  Yo Yo - Grandmother’s Garden 

Proportion:  96" X 79”

The Yo-Yo’s were popularized during the 1920s when resources were scarce. The ability to use small scraps of leftover fabric to create each distinct Yo-Yo was not only a measure of thriftiness, but true artistic achievement.  

With her ample size, this lady would lay nicely over a thin coverlet on a king size bed.  she is in near perfect condition, as far as I can tell, with no stains, tears, or fabric brakes.  Truly, a masterpiece!

I have not attempted to clean this quilt, as I have no experience with yo-yos.   But due to the fact that there are no stains, I assume it was kept stored away and never used. I would have no issues using this beauty as is. Should you choose to clean, please do some research on the process.
