Notable charm: Besides the intricate touching stars pattern used in making this quilt, the backing is made of original feedsacks from the Arizona Flour Mill. As noted in some of the photos, the stamped flower sacks were more legible before our cleaning process gently lightened some of those markings. The quilt must have been made and stored for decades because it is in excellent shape for a 100+ years old quilt.
We pride ourselves in a multi-step cleaning process to restore these vintage beauties to snuggle worthy condition. It is ready to be enjoyed and with proper care, it will give many more years of enjoyment! Spot clean, when possible, and wash on delicate or by hand in cold water when necessary. Gently wring excess water and lay flat to dry.
Some imperfections such as discolorations, fading, tears, and stains are intrinsic to the character of vintage textiles & offer a historical patina to the original design.
