Pattern: Eight point star, also known as Lemoyne or Ohio star.
Noteworthy charm: A beautiful variety of fabrics include shirting, feedsacks, madras, and solid sheeting. Most likely the lifelong scraps of an avid quilter. Hand quilted in loose stitches.
This quilt is in good vintage condition with minimal staining or wear. The batting is very thin and presumed to be cotton. It does show minimal shifting (see shadowing in last photo), although it is not noticeable because of the lightweight nature of the quilt.
This heirloom quilt has been thoroughly cleaned using our multi step gentle process. To extend the life of your vintage and antique textiles, we recommend hand washing in cold water, using a gentle agitation. Lie flat to air dry & tumble in the dryer for 10 minutes to restore softness.
