This uber soft jacket is made of a vintage quilt which features a stunning 8 point star pattern comprised of a whimsical array of fabrics ranging from early 1900’s feed sack to men’s cotton shirting. It has been lovingly cleaned and repurposed by a gifted artist to bring comfort, style and warmth anew. This waist length jacket has an unstructured, slouchy fit with oversized front pockets, drop shoulders, and an funky large collar.
The patterns, colors, stitches, and stains enfold treasured memories of days gone by. They speak of a period of scarcity, when nary a scrap would go to waste.
With proper care, this heirloom piece will offer many more years of comfort and warmth. Hand wash, gently wring excess moisture, dry flat, and finish in dryer for ten minutes to restore softness.
